BIT at CODL- of Moratuwa, which helps me a lot to become who ever I am today, they bring to you a personal approach, tutor support and flexible learning anytime and anywhere.

As an online mode student , at the beginning  whole thing was new to me and I wasn’t sure I was going to make friends or even how could I speak up in class, but within short period I have completed in becoming a good associate to open mode discussions and was able to actively participated in .

This was great experience though, sometimes it was challenging because of the lessons were updated according to new emerging technologies, and the class competition was so high. However, the atmosphere including the lecture panel and the non-academic staff was a big help during work period and even after work, for me to be an outstanding student, which was so worth it in the end.

I am one lucky student and I am very happy to be a BIT- graduate from a pioneering body as UOM. I wish everyone success in their journey to become a graduate from CODL-UOM...!!

University of Moratuwa BIT programme supported me to build both of my academic and professional carer very strong way. It covers most of the necessary theoretical and practical aspects of the IT  and guides students to build their self-confidence to face the dynamic nature of the global IT environment.
The most important part of the programme is "Final Year Project" which guide you to solve a real-world practical problem with the help of theories and experiences you have lean throughout the previous semesters.

Trust me..this activity makes you a giant in the IT industry once you started your professional career.

"I came from nowhere to IT, and currently working in a globally recognized company in the industry. I could grab a huge knowledge within the 3 years of program plus an apprenticeship at a reputed company too. All these were enabled for me because I choose BIT@UoM after my A/Ls."

I completed my BIT degree with a First class at The University of Moratuwa in the 2015-2018 period by selecting OpenArc campus as the partner institution. Course content provided by UoM for BIT has equipped me with not only a greater and vast understanding of the technological domain but also a more comprehensive knowledge of Commerce and Management areas too. That is one of the reasons I recommend BIT degree for all the students who are resembling an undergraduate program to follow up for an affordable price. Being the Batch top, It has served me well in my career, by giving me the skills and knowledge needed to work as an IT professional in my current employment as a Project Manager and a Business Analyst.

I would like to give a special Thanks to UoM and CODL for providing such a valuable degree program for the students and let them open up their career paths in the IT domain.

Transitioning from student life to the working world can be intimidating to navigate. But currently, I work for a leading tech company as a Software Engineer while guiding freshers to success as a lecturer. Value that the BIT degree brought to my career is truly significant in setting me up for a bright future. When I recall my three years at the University of Moratuwa as a BIT undergraduate, I was able to complete the degree with a Second Class Upper Division and A+ for my final year project. I assure that the experience not only made me a better IT professional, but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. I would be grateful to the University of Moratuwa and my partner organisation for leading me to discover a new passion I didn't know I had.
