The Examinations for course modules conducted during a semester shall be held at the end of the Semester. Each module has two components which consist of Final exam (FA) and Continuous Assessment (CA). Percentages of  FA and CA components are unique to each module. Candidates required to pass the CA (continuous Assessment) in order to face the final exams.

Course Module final exams  and project work shall be assessed on the basis of set-paper examinations, presentations and reports according to the curricula.

 

Medium of Instruction

Medium of Examinations is English. If a student writes the answer’s in any other language it will not be marked. Zero marks will be given.

Examination criteria

Bachelor of Information Technology (external) degree has  types of examinations : written, online and oral examinations.

  • Written exams

Candidates are required to be at the Examination Hall and face the set paper examination. He or she must come at least 15 minutes before the commencement of each paper, but shall not enter the hall until they are requested to do so by the Supervisor. Candidates should answer the paper given time period under the supervision of the exam supervisor and invigilators.

  • Online Exams

Candidates are required to do the exam at the computer laboratory in the University of Moratuwa. He or she must come at least 15 minutes before the commencement of each paper, but shall not enter the hall until they are requested to do so by the Supervisor. Candidates should answer the online paper given time period under the supervision of the exam supervisor and invigilators.

  • Oral Exams

An examination is conducted by spoken communication . Assessment is the process of gathering information from multiple and diverse sources to understand learner knowledge and skills .  The assessment  method mainly does during the project work. Examinar can assess the development of communication skills of the student, Authenticity of in person interaction and examiner focus  deep understanding and critique of the student.

 

Exam by law
